Daniel Ramirez Arrested for Felony Battery After Assaulting Hard Rock Cafe Server in Miami
Daniel Ramirez, a 47-year-old man from Lubbock, Texas, was arrested on Friday morning at a cruise terminal in Miami on a felony battery charge. The arrest follows a Sunday evening incident at the Hard Rock Cafe at Bayside Marketplace, where Ramirez allegedly assaulted a server who asked him to stop eating cocktail garnishes. According to police reports, Ramirez complained to the server's manager that no woman should tell him what to do. When the server attempted to speak with him again, Ramirez forcefully shoved her into a metal garment rack, causing her to fall and chip a front tooth. The server later chased him to take photographs, but Ramirez struck the phone from her hand and shoved her a second time, causing her to lose consciousness. The victim, who suffered a concussion and required emergency dental work, expressed relief at the arrest. Ramirez remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with his bond pending.
