Taco Bell CEO Sean Tresvant offers $1 enchiritos and nacho fries to recover from a major lettuce-related cyclospora outbreak.

Taco Bell is offering $1 enchiritos and regular nacho fries for one day to regain customer loyalty following a significant cyclospora outbreak. The company announced the deal on Wednesday to address a sharp decline in foot traffic caused by lettuce linked to the diarrhea outbreak. Daily visits to Taco Bell locations dropped nearly 31% on July 17 and remained down 30% the following day. While other fast-food chains experienced minor declines, Taco Bell saw a more pronounced slump, contributing to a 9% drop in shares for its parent company, Yum! Brands. Sean Tresvant, the CEO of Taco Bell, stated on LinkedIn that the company aims to do what is right for its customers and earn their loyalty one meal at a time. The $1 enchirito deal replaces the previous $4.29 price point, while the $1 nacho fries are available exclusively through the company's app. The brand shared the news via an Instagram video featuring positive feedback from social media users.
