Mark Hon was rescued from a camper after a severe storm tore through Owen County, leaving little of his "barndominium" standing. While the storm sucked the doors off the barn and rolled the motor home, Hon remained inside with his German shepherd, Gunner. Firefighters eventually broke the front window to reach him. The storm caused widespread destruction across Kentucky, including downed trees, power lines, and structural issues in several counties. In Grayson County, emergency management reported at least eight buildings damaged and rescued multiple people from their homes. Meanwhile, high water impacted Garrard County, though officials noted it was less severe than previous flooding. To manage the weather, several local governments closed offices and schools early. The Mercer County Fair and the Southeast Kentucky Fair were canceled to ensure public safety. Power outages affected thousands of customers across the state, with Hart County experiencing the highest number of residents without electricity. Crews are scheduled to conduct damage assessments throughout the region on Wednesday morning.
