The Department of Justice is moving to revoke the citizenship of more than two dozen individuals who allegedly committed crimes ranging from attempted murder to child sexual abuse and identity fraud. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that U.S. citizenship is a high privilege that must be obtained lawfully and honestly. The complaints, filed between July 20 and August 3, involve naturalized citizens from 17 different countries who allegedly secured their status through fraud or concealment. Among the individuals facing denaturalization is 65-year-old Narinder Singh, who allegedly used a fraudulent identity to gain admission to the U.S. The administration announced these filings represent the record-breaking surge in denaturalization efforts to protect the integrity of the naturalization process. This move is part of a broader effort by the administration to strip citizenship from those who allegedly deceived the federal government. The Justice Department continues to make use of every tool available to ensure the safety of the American people and the honesty of the naturalization process.
