The UK's Crown Prosecution Service has added several counts of rape, sex trafficking, and assault against the brothers, covering alleged offenses committed between 2010 and 2017. The administration announced its intention to honor the existing extradition treaty with the United Kingdom. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that he will not block the brothers' removal from the U.S., noting that the legal process is still underway. While the brothers campaigned for President Trump in 2024, the administration has maintained a professional distance from the influencers. Defense attorney Joseph McBride argued that the brothers are innocent and characterized the new charges as a "political hit." He contended that the brothers are not flight risks and should remain in the U.S. while a separate civil case proceeds. The brothers continue to deny all allegations of abuse and human trafficking.
