Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirms Ukrainian drone strikes on major Russian logistics hubs in Moscow and Tambov regions
Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukrainian long-range drone strikes hit two major logistics facilities in the Moscow and Tambov regions of Russia. The strikes targeted warehouses belonging to Wildberries, a major online retailer, which the administration used to supply sanctioned components for drone production and navigation equipment. The attacks resulted in at least eight fatalities and dozens of injuries across the two regions. In the Tambov region, seven workers were killed at a distribution center in Kotovsk. In the Moscow region, one person died at a facility in Elektrostal, while 37 others were injured. The Russian Defense Ministry reported intercepting 379 drones across 19 regions during the campaign. In addition to the warehouses, Ukrainian forces struck an oil facility in Noginsk and several vessels in the Black and Azov seas. These strikes aim to undermine the Russian war effort by targeting energy infrastructure and military logistics. Wildberries reported that the fires caused significant damage, with estimated losses exceeding RUB 100 billion.
