Andrey Vorobyov reports five people killed in Ukrainian drone strike on Moscow industrial zone
Andrey Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, reported that a Ukrainian drone strike on an industrial zone outside the capital killed at least five people and wounded 10 others. The attack occurred in the Chekhov district, triggering several fires and damaging an administrative building and an electrical substation. This strike is considered one of the deadliest on the Moscow region since the 2022 invasion began. Ukraine has been increasingly targeting Russian civilian infrastructure, specifically the e-commerce giant Wildberries. While Moscow denies it, Kyiv claims these warehouses supply the Russian military. The Russian Defense Ministry reported downing at least 320 Ukrainian drones overnight, while Ukraine reported intercepting 117 of the 136 drones launched by Russia. Simultaneously, Russian strikes hit Ukraine, killing several civilians. In the city of Sumy, a woman and two girls were allegedly killed by Russian forces. In the port city of Mykolaiv, an 89-year-old woman was allegedly killed by Russian forces. These attacks continue as the four-and-a-half-year war remains without a peace deal.
