Andrey Vorobyov reports five people killed and 10 injured in Ukrainian drone strike on Moscow industrial zone
Andrey Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, confirmed that a Ukrainian drone strike on an industrial site in Novoselki, Chekhov, killed five people and wounded 10 others. The strike triggered several fires at a warehouse facility, which local officials linked to the e-commerce giant Wildberries. Ukraine has intensified its long-range strikes on Russian civilian infrastructure, specifically targeting Wildberries warehouses to disrupt military supply lines and damage the Russian economy. While Kyiv claims the strikes are a pretext for economic disruption, the company has confirmed damage to its facilities in St Petersburg and Krasny Bor. Russia responded with its own strikes against Ukraine, killing at least four people and injuring several others. The Ukrainian State Emergency Service reported deaths in the southern port city of Mykolaiv and the residential area of Sumy. Meanwhile, the Russian defense ministry reported intercepting and destroying 320 drones overnight. The conflict continues to show an uptick in civilian deaths as the war grinds on without a peace deal.
