The Ukrainian drone campaign has successfully targeted Russia’s "shadow fleet" of oil tankers and various cargo ships. These strikes aim to isolate occupied Crimea from Russia's logistics network and disrupt seaborne shipping routes for petroleum and grain. While Russia claims it can reroute exports through other Black Sea terminals, analysts suggest this may be difficult during peak seasons when export volume exceeds port capacity. Russia has accused Kyiv of "terrorism" for these strikes, while Ukraine maintains that it is intentionally targeting military assets to pressure the Russian economy.
