Mikhail Razvozhayev reports a Russian soldier killed four people during a random gun rampage in Crimea
Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-installed governor of the Sevastopol region, reported that a Russian soldier opened fire on comrades and civilians in the village of Khmelnytske. The soldier killed one fellow serviceman and wounded another before turning his fire on three civilians, including two men and a woman, and wounding three more people. The gunman has been detained, and authorities are investigating the motive behind the shooting. The incident occurred in Crimea, a peninsula Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014. While the soldier's rampage was being investigated, Russia and Ukraine continued to exchange strikes. A drone strike on an industrial zone near Moscow killed five people, while a Ukrainian drone hit a crowded beach in the Krasnodar region, killing seven people. Additionally, Ukraine accused Russia of committing a war crime when a drone allegedly killed a street vendor in Kherson, and a drone 'safari' was reported in the other city. Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, called the other drone attack a barbaric war crime, and the administration announced that the drone only fell on the beach because it was shot down by Russian air defences.
