Ukrainian drone strikes kill eight people at two major Wildberries warehouses in Russia's Moscow and Tambov regions.
Ukrainian drone strikes killed at least eight people and wounded more than 60 others across Russia on Saturday. The attacks targeted two sprawling warehouses belonging to Wildberries, the country's largest online retailer. Seven workers were killed at a distribution center in Kotovsk, while one person died at a facility in Elektrostal. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the strikes hit significant logistical facilities used to supply sanctioned components for drone and navigation equipment production. In addition to the warehouses, a drone struck an oil depot in Noginsk, forcing the evacuation of a nearby maternity hospital. Russian officials reported that air defenses intercepted 379 drones over 19 regions. While the fire at the Kotovsk site was contained, the Elektrostal facility continued to produce massive plumes of smoke. These long-range strikes represent some of the most lethal Ukrainian aerial operations inside Russia in over two years, aimed at undermining Moscow's war effort by targeting energy infrastructure and military logistics.
