The commission aims to address generational issues, such as the 20% unemployment rate among military spouses, who often earn nearly 40% less than their civilian counterparts. The commission will include over 20 members, including Christie Mullin and other spouses of senior military leaders. These spouses will serve without compensation for two years, meeting monthly at the White House to provide annual recommendations to the administration. During the signing ceremony, Pete Hegseth and Jennifer Hegseth highlighted the importance of supporting the home front to ensure the success of the war-fighters on the front lines.
